Athens flea market Monastiraki or Yousouroum takes its name after the Jewish family's of Noe Yousouroum or Yiesouroum, who came, in 1863 from Smyrna and settled in Monastiraki as an antiques salesman along with other Jewish families.
He was, probaply, a lovable man, that the Athenians liked and named in his honor the entire area of the square Abyssinia as Yousouroum.
