1839. Recorded for the first time the word OK. Said that it comes from the Greek words "Ola Kala" which they wrote their immigrant ancestors, who worked at the port, on the boxes with the goods. However, the newspaper of the era Boston Morning Post writes that the term comes from misspelled «Oll Korrect» (instead of the correct All Correct). Maybe he's right, since 1839 was the season of migration to the new world for the Greeks.
1839. Καταγράφεται για πρώτη φορά η λέξη ΟΚ. Λέγεται ότι προέρχεται από την ελληνική φράση «Όλα Καλά» που έγραφαν οι πρόγονοι μετανάστες, που δούλευαν στο λιμάνι, πάνω στα κιβώτια με το εμπόρευμα. Πάντως, η εφημερίδα της εποχής Boston Morning Post γράφει ότι ο όρος προέρχεται από το ανορθόγραφο «Oll Korrect» (αντί για το σωστό All Correct). Μάλλον έχει δίκιο, αφού το 1839 δεν ήταν η εποχή της μετανάστευσης στο νέο κόσμο για τους Έλληνες.
